TOMORROW I WILL BE POSTING A SECTION FROM MY SECOND BOOK!
You don’t have to be religious to read the Bible and don’t worry I am not going to be slaying you with my views on religion, but I think that the Bible is an excellent book to read. Whether you believe or don’t believe the Bible has stories that are very interesting.
I currently have started to read the Bible. It’s a task that seems impossible because my Bible is almost 1500 pages long. I think that’s because mine adds a few things, but either way the book is long. I haven’t finished a book that’s been as long as this, so it’s a challenge. The names in the book are also sometimes rather hard to say. As a good reader I find a way to make it work by naming the character after his first two letters or something easier for me. I am only on Exdous, but I’m finding everything in the Bible so amazingly interesting. I’ve told some of my friends that I was reading the Bible at first they laugh and ask if I’m serious and I tell them I am. They don’t make a big deal about it, but when you say your reading it, it’s as if you need some special reason to be doing that.
My Grandmother was recently hurt her leg and she had to be in bed for a week almost two. I asked her if she had anything to do in her room and she said, “I have my Bible. I’ll read that.” For me I was thought doesn’t she want a TV or magazines and games. But I think before my time when parents weren’t as lax and they kids didn’t have much to do religion was a much bigger part of life. Though, I see now why my grandma read the Bible over because there are some very good passages in there.
As of late church and government have been clashing. Church and government aren’t supposed to have anything to do with each other. I’ve been looking as I read through the Bible for answers to many of the cases that people have made religious such as the gays wanting to get married. There’s nothing against it that I’ve seen so far. If anything I have found one part where the Bible seems to be for it. Many people read into things way too much.
But I am enjoying the Bible very much. I’ll keep everyone posted on how it goes.
